Founder and Managing Director, Stephen Dobson, BEng., BCom., Registered Builder 3982, Committee Member JTC BD/83 (Joint Technical Committee of Standards Association of Australia and Standards New Zealand) pioneered the modern development of rammed earth construction over 27 years ago. Stephen’s background as a professional engineer enabled him to develop technical advances that resulted in a huge increase in the number of rammed earth buildings constructed throughout Australia.

He is an Executive Committee Member of the Earth Building Association of Australia and is also on the Joint Technical Committee working to prepare an Australian Standard covering all forms of earth building.

Rammed earth construction has now achieved the well-recognised status of being a desirable, viable, contemporary, and environmentally sustainable method of construction.

Stephen went on to establish Ramtec walls as the best product in the rammed earth business by using specific constituents, the latest developments, technology, and equipment to refine and develop this centuries old building technique.

Rammed Earth Developments was formed to encompass all these technical achievements, experience, and Stephen’s outstanding reputation.

We have a dedicated enthusiastic design team lead by Stephen’s partner, Roman Antoniuk, to ensure every Client’s house is unique and fulfils their needs. Roman, born and educated in England has over 30 years experience in designing and constructing houses and furniture. He brings the classical tastes of Europe and the flair and boldness of Australia to our Clients designs. Your dream is safe in our hands, we design for our Clients, not for our egos!

As a Company, we provide full Consultancy, Lectures, International Training Programmes, Architectural Advisory, and Expert Witness services to governments, countries, and the Rammed Earth industry world-wide.
